Although brushing and flossing daily will greatly reduce your risk for developing dental problems, there are still some areas in which it can be difficult to effectively clean your teeth. To fully clean your teeth, your dentist will be able to use specialized tools that go beyond the capabilities of brushing and flossing. In addition, he or she will be able to spot potential dental problems and treat them before they become truly problematic.
