How to end COVID-19?

It is a growing disaster as we all witness the amount of people being affected by the very dangerous pandemic that is causing lots of deaths all over the world. We believe that due to some misinformation about the danger of COVID-19 that has lead to the current situation. We all must get the right source of information so that we can all participate in doing our parts as a preventive measures to help not only yourself but others to avoid this deadly infection.

As what we view about this deadly virus that totally require every single human being to do what is necessary to avoid the spread of infection. Yes! Only we can help to prevent it from spreading further as long as we do our parts of preventive measures. As far as the information we understand, this virus is transmitted from human to human through contact of touching someone who is infected via touching our eyes, nose and mouth. Therefore the safeguard of having to wear masks is vital to help the chance of having the infection when someone close to you is sneezing or cough as it might transfer to you.

Remember the rule of washing hands with soap at least 20 seconds to get rid of any form of COVID-19 that you may have contacted with while you are in public places since it will likely be that you have made contact with surfaces that may be infected with the virus. It is better to be safe than sorry! We understand the danger of this virus but yet it is still spreading like wild fire and this may due to the fact that not all people are receiving the right source of information about it. Please help to spread the news about the danger of COVID-19 and it does not matter who you are as the infection will definitely be very dangerous when you are in contact with it.

The basic precautions will be doing your parts of social distancing while wearing masks in public. Try not to talk when you are in public transport or in crowded places. Best of all if possible, refrain from going out and stay at home as it will allow the virus to die off. This virus is being transmitted human to human and if every single human being in the world can avoid being in contact with people for just ONE MONTH, we sincerely believe that it will help to eliminate this virus. The reason as why it is spreading so widely is due to the gathering of people in public and touching the surface where there is the infection as we never know that it exists. This is a silent deadly virus where it can stay on surfaces of materials for a period of time when someone who has COVID-19 made contact with it.

So if you need to be in public, whenever you have contact with any surfaces of materials, try not to rub your eyes, nose and mouth without washing it with soap or using disinfectant to kill the virus. It is very important to take note of this since this deadly virus can enter your body via eyes, nose and mouth. So with frequent washing hands with soap will deter the virus from entering your body. We are the only people who can end this pandemic as long as we abide to the rules of safety precaution like social distancing, washing hands with soap frequently, wearing masks in public, etc.

That is the ideal case but in real life, we believe it is very difficult to ask every single human being to isolate themselves from going out in public for a month’s period to allow this deadly virus to end itself. That is why we are now witnessing so many people from all over the world being infected with it. Sadly that many people are dead with this infection. We have to be clear about this as the virus does not care who you are as once you are infected, your life is in danger. Like the saying goes: Prevention is better than cure. Please do your part as it will help yourself as well as others to avoid this very deadly virus. Think of your loved ones as you do not want it to happen to them.

Let us join forces and put an end to this COVID-19 pandemic and we can move on with our lives without fear of being infected.

Phase 2 in Singapore

COVID-19 is still very much ALIVE!

Reading today’s report on 16 June 2020, we learnt that there are already 8,118,908 cases of infections and the death rates are now 439,204 in record. We wonder why the numbers are kept increasing even though everyone understands the danger of human to human transmission and yet different countries are showing more infections and deaths than others. Why can’t we all take a break and analyze the situation based on individual country. If your country are seeing the rise of infection then people should start to look at the preventive measures for current cure like wearing masks & do social distancing from others while in public as well as washing hands with soap frequently to eliminate the chances of spreading. We, as individuals should be taking all necessary precautions to safeguard ourselves when being exposed in public as we will never know those who are unknown sources that we might be in contact with. This means that even if your country are easing down the restrictions of movement, we ourselves should maintain good personal hygiene as well as the preventive measures while in public.

What should you be doing against COVID-19?

Important to maintain your current measures of wearing masks & doing social distancing in public as well as washing hands with soap frequently. This helps to reduce the possibility of human to human transmission. Remember that you can help yourself in order to help others to avoid this spread of virus. Please be socially responsible on this matter as we humans are the only way to stop further spreading by doing the right thing. Your action will prove to be an effective way of having deterrent against the spread of virus.

Opening Phase 2 on 19 June 2020, what will be the impact?

As in Singapore, we will be going into Phase 2 after the Circuit Breaker (ended on 1st June 2020) and Phase 1 (started on 1st June 2020) which means further opening of businesses and schools based on the guideline provided by the Government. We had witnessed other countries after lifting the restrictions, they were hit by second wave of infections and causing the rise of cases thereafter. So, we can see that even though our Government has moved to Phase 2, we must still be vigilant against the spread of virus. Therefore, maintaining the current cure of wearing masks & doing social distancing while in public is a must as well as washing hands with soap frequently. This will help to reduce the chances of having more human to human transmission since we do know that there are still some unknown sources of people who are not tested and may continue to spread when you are exposed in public. No matter under whatever situation, we should always maintain the simple practice of wearing masks & social distancing when in public. Also continue to wash your hands with soap before touching your eyes, nose or mouth since that will be the entry point of the virus. As long as we are not being complacent and stay guard for our own safety as well as others, we believe that we can control the spread.

Just do your parts and be safe! Be a little Kiasu & Kiasi will save lives!

Regardless of the situation, we ourselves must continue with the preventive guideline until the vaccine cure is made available. So, no matter how much the situation has changed, we must never be complacent as it is very important to keep ourselves & others to be safe against COVID-19. The Government will base on the current trend and manage accordingly to the situation as they ease on restrictions but to us, we must never neglect the basic preventive measures that needed to be followed. At least life will be a little better with lesser restrictions and businesses can resume with safeguards. It is vital that we make appoint that no one should neglect those basic guideline that will prevent human to human transmission.

Like the saying goes: Better safe than sorry!

Once again we like to stress on these basic measures that we all should continue doing until the vaccine cure is made available to us. Be blessed with good health and take care!

Trust yourself against COVID-19

As of 14 June 2020 morning, the number of infection cases have risen to 7,860,748 while the death rates are now 432,200. If you compared with 2 days ago at 7,458,646 cases, it does not seem to be under control in some countries after easing on the restriction. Therefore, we sincerely hope that people will come to realize that regardless whether or not your Government is easing on the restriction, you have to take all necessary precaution of wearing mask & do social distancing from others while in public. This is the most basic precaution you should be taking under any circumstances without fail. That will in return safeguard not only yourself but to others who are in close contacts while in public. Never let your guard down even your Government has relaxed on the restriction as economy starts to open up.

Just do it from today onward! It will be the new norm in life with COVID-19.

In Singapore, we can see that our Government is stepping up with all sorts of precautions which is like Work-In-Progress since we do not really know what really works when the restriction starts to ease down after Circuit Breaker. We do understand that there is no foolproof plan that will work for all instances but much like trial an error kind of implementation. Of course there maybe some form of conflicts with implementation which might not be satisfying to everyone. At times, people might even get a little confused about the Phase 1 for businesses with regard to who can be opened and who cannot operate. There is no right or wrong way of doing thing as it is first time experience of such deadly virus unlike during the SARS period which was controllable.

Your right action keeps everyone safe!

No matter what plans are implemented, we the people should do the most basic precaution of wearing masks & doing social distancing from others in public. Plus washing our hands with soap frequently as to remove any virus before touching your eyes, nose or mouth while in public. Also, as far as possible during this period to isolate yourself whenever it is permitted so you can actually reduce the transmission of human to human. Let us all do our parts to help eliminate further spreading of contact between human to human. Be more civic minded when you are traveling in public and try not to join in the crowded places. As long as each of us take care of our own personal hygiene, it will definitely helps to reduce the chances of spreading through contacts.

Help to spread the right news of guideline to keep everyone safe!

Lastly, we sincerely do hope everyone can take these simple advice as how we can help one another to avoid further spreading in community. As long as there are unknown sources of infection, it is still very dangerous to be in public.

  1. Wearing masks whenever you are in public as a preventive measures.
